Worship is concentrated on glorifying God.
In the church, it is manifested through songs and praises that preach the true Gospel – the testament of Jesus Christ. In the home, it is demonstrated through living a Christ-like centered life. For believers of Jesus Christ, we are called to worship God in every capacity of our life.
Discipleship is concerned with the building of lives around the centrality of Christ’s lordship.
In the Great Commission (Matt. 28:16-20) we are given the mandate to make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the triune name of God, and teaching them to observe His commandments. This command is given in connection with the declaration of Christ’s authority over the world (cf., v. 18), given to Him by the Father. The church fulfills this mandate in two ways: formally, through the proclamation of God’s Word in God’s world; and informally, through the building of community within the body founded on the centrality of Christ.
As a body of Christ, the purpose of the fellowship ministry strives to build genuine love with the community and to preserve the Christian faith.
We encourage the act of breaking bread with the community, keeping each other accountable in order to defend our faith, and to not forsake the relationships we have built with one another. We believe to hold a common ground of our belief in Christ which promotes a sense of unity. Because of fellowship, we hope to be active in our faith to carry out it’s partnership with Christ to fulfill God’s will. Fellowship is a vital part of the Church’s growth and Christian faith in hopes of us being disciples who make disciples.
Fellowship at Vietnamese Faith Baptist Church builds relationships with our brothers and sisters which reflects the desire we have to carry out God’s will to love one another. The English Ministry hosts quarterly guys and girls events to naturally form accountability with each other. There are weekly bible studies that each life stage are engaged with which promotes to actively seek God’s Word. Encouragement is always present and fellowship at VFBC leads us to love one another just as Christ has loved us first. Christ uses us as individuals to come together in hopes to glorify His kingdom within our church through fellowship.
Evangelism is demonstrating love of neighbor by sharing the good news of Jesus Christ.
Every Christian is given the call to make disciples. We are tasked with sharing the story of Jesus Christ and how that story intersects with our own stories. We make disciples (or followers of Jesus) not by coercion or force; but through our display of love and unity. When people see Christians, their response should be "I want to have what they have. I want to live as they live. I want Jesus in my life too." Evangelism is simply letting people know that they can have Jesus in their lives too. They too can experience His love, grace, and transforming power.
Service is the action-oriented outpouring of discipleship.
Just as God loves us, so are we called to love our neighbors by serving those inside and outside the church reflecting a Christ-like love to all.
As each one has received a special gift, employ it in serving one another as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.
